A Theory of Whither Peace on Earth
Thoughts from ReCOPE Affiliate Member, Shafi Parekh….
Who wants the things to change and who wants peace in this one world of ours?
I don’t mean you, as you don’t count, you see you don’t control a thing
I’m asking of the powers that can start a war and end a war
Be it this so-called war on terror or the so called Mid East conflict
Or the conflict in Kashmir that has gone on for 60 years, Ukraine?
Let me explain what I do feel why we won’t see peace on this earth
War is good business as it keeps their industries afloat and more
The biggest one producing arms as lots of arms get used in war
And then there’s gasoline and tanks and vehicles that get destroyed
And have to be replenished, major contracts for the western powers
Then they act as brokers, talk of foxes guarding chicken coops
How will they want their industries to lose their business and go bust
Which they would surely do if peace it was to break out suddenly
The wars they’re also testing grounds for new developed weaponry
How else would they be able to test cluster bombs, white phosphorous
Real live experiments on subjects who are not their citizens
But some poor Middle Easterners, Mujahidin, the people brown
These people are not ours and they are bad because we labeled them
They were good people when we wanted them to fight the Russians
As the Russians were advancing Southward could not give them access to
A port in Indian Ocean which would be their own warm weather port
With land link to the Soviets but now that they have done gone back
We don’t need Beardos as we are now calling them the Taliban
The harder we will hit them then the harder they retaliate
We’ll tell the world, see what they do, they kidnap whites, behead them too
And then the cycle it goes on and we have buttons to control
How much they will retaliate how many leaders we will catch
And call them second in command of armies of our enemies
We’ll show our people how we use their tax dollars judiciously
That surely is not, no siree, a subsidy for industry
We keep our people fooled in thinking we are doing this for them
To keep them safe from terrorists our global war on terror
And what of those who sit there at the other end receiving
Aid from us, hey, wait a minute is it aid to them? Now really look!
They take these loans to buy our arms and pay us interest on top
It’s great we profit giving taking and the stupid world goes on
Continuing to think we are great, all the G8 nations
Suckers all of us the other nations dreaming here of peace on earth
Our leaders they are asking begging them for more as then they can
Just siphon off what all they can and show their people they too care
For national security they travel far and wide and beg
On our behalf we’re beggars keeping their defense industries going
These our leaders do not want the conflicts to end, no siree!
As they don’t want to kill the golden goose and lose their golden eggs
Its symbiosis, if they don’t do what these powers want them to,
They will exile them if they’re lucky or have them assassinated!
Oh what fools we are that we are falling right into the trap
Of Westerners although we thought we rid ourselves of them, did not!
They cannot rule directly, this they do behind our backs so well
They only have to pull the string or push the buttons take your pick
And have our leaders drool at prospects of more money, what a deal!
